Roy Keane versus Erling Haaland is shaping up to be the next big pundit-footballer rivalry after Paul Pogba and Graeme Souness. From taking shots at his ability off the ball to clapping back with a brutal comment, the ‘beef’ between the two has taken social media by storm.

As Haaland seemed to take higher ground with his brilliant four-goal show against Wolves, Keane has yet again found fault in his behavior. Speaking at a talk show for Sky Sports, Keane opined that Haaland’s behavior was childish, when he appeared to be disappointed while being subbed off against Wolves.

The No.9 was called off by Pep Guardiola following his 4th goal of the night and was replaced by Julian Alvarez . Keane’s comments have made many think that he in fact harbors ‘hatred’ towards the Haaland family! Haaland later clarified that he doesn’t care about the former Man United man.

We saw Haaland, just as he'd been brought off, behaving like a spoilt brat, but because he wins the game and scores goals, it's almost forgotten about. Roy Keane said in a talk show

While Haaland did appear to be frustrated, several fans thought that it was rightful of him to do so after scoring four brilliant goals. As Roy Keane takes aim at Haaland yet again, the latter ended the conversation by claiming that he simply didn’t care about him!

Erling Haaland makes way for Man City star to clinch unique record

While Erling Haaland appeared to be frustrated when subbed off in the last ten minutes against Wolves, another forward, Julian Alvarez benefited from it. The Argentine forward came on in the 82nd minute to mark 100 appearances for the Cityzens. The hosts were leading 4-1 as Alvarez came on instead of Haaland.

It took the City No.19 just 3 minutes to find the net as he got on the end of a through ball from Rodri. His cool and composed finish to the bottom right corner meant that Alvarez grabbed a goal on his 100th City appearance. The World Cup winner, despite his killer ability on the ball, has been forced to become an understudy for Haaland.

In a relatively silent season, the 24-year-old has managed to grab 26 goal contributions, and 15 of those being goals in the Premier League and UEFA Champions League. While a certain ‘League Two’ level striker (as per Roy Keane) fires in goals for the club, Alvarez’s contribution throughout the season cannot be overlooked.
