Odell Beckham Jr. attends 2024 Met Gala red carpet
Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

Odell Beckham Jr . was looking sharp while attending the 2024 Met Gala in New York. The Miami Dolphins wide receiver was seen wearing a black suit with white detailing at the event. The suit featured flower embroidery and a diamond broach, as mentioned by Us Weekly.

Beckham attended the Met Gala shortly after he ended his relationship with Kim Kardashian, who also attended the annual event. Us Weekly said it’s likely the two saw each other on Monday, but it won’t be awkward since the relationship wasn’t serious.

“It was never serious between Kim and Odell, but they are taking a pause on seeing each other,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly. “It was always casual but Kim has been really busy with other priorities and isn’t putting in as much effort. The dynamic lost its spark, but they are still friends.”

The source added: “They are still on good terms, and both agreed it’s best they stay friends. Odell is gearing up for season training, and they both knew it was never a long term relationship.”

Odell Beckham Jr. will play for Miami Dolphins this fall

Beckham’s attendance at the Met Gala comes after he reportedly agreed to a one-year contract with the Dolphins. Beckham visited with the Dolphins in March, but the two sides could not reach a deal at the time.

“We always look at opportunities and work through it,” Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said before the draft, per ESPN. “We’re always looking to add to the roster and have the most competitive roster we can to make the team better; as we’ve always talked, competition is what breeds excellence. For us, we’ll keep looking, like we’ve said, post-draft, like we’ve done here in the past. We’ll keep looking and talking to people and see what happens.”

Beckham, 31, joins a wide receivers group that includes Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Braxton Berrios, River Cracraft, Erik Ezukanma and rookies Malik Washington and Tajh Washington. He will be competing for the No. 3 WR position since Hill and Waddle and the top two targets.

Beckham was orginally drafted by the New York Giants in the first round in 2014 and was with the team for five seasons. He then spent time with the Cleveland Browns (2019-2021) and the Los Angeles Rams (2021) before joining the Baltimore Ravens last year. In his career, Beckham has been selected to the Pro Bowl three times and won a Super Bowl with the Rams.
